The Dark Knight Rises----Directed
by Christopher Nolan
The Dark Knight Rises is the
epic conclusion to filmmaker Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy. Leading an
all-star international cast, Oscar winner Christian Bale again plays the dual
role of Bruce Wayne/Batman. The film also stars Anne Hathaway, as Selina Kyle;
Tom Hardy, as Bane; Oscar winner Marion
Cotillard, as Miranda Tate; and Joseph Gordon-Levitt, as John Blake. It will be
released on July 20th, 2012. The all-star squad in The Dark Knight Rises makes it more
easily to take the Oscar awards.
The Master---Directed by Paul
Thomas Anderson
One of the great mysteries of the 2012 movie calendar is whether
or not Paul Thomas Anderson’s highly anticipated film-The Master would be released this year. According to its primary
producer Megan Ellison, The Master
may be released on October and it is absolutely in the thick of award season.
And even many fans believe that it will win the Oscar Awards because of its
strong film distributor—The Weinstein Company.
The Silver Linings
Playbook--- Directed by David O. Russell
Adapted from the best-selling novel by Matthew Quick, The Silver
Linings Playbook is a touching, one-of-a-kind comedy about love and second
chances. Its film distributor---The Weinstein Co.
has also decided on a November 21, 2012 release for this movie, which suggests
the company sees the film as a potential player in next year’s awards season.
The trailer debut for the new Wes Anderson film, Moonrise Kingdom ,
quickly created hopes that the movie will carve out a spot in the upper tier of
Anderson ’s
output. This story sets on an island off the coast of New England in the summer
of 1965, telling a story of two twelve-year-olds who fall in love, make a
secret pact, and run away together into the wilderness. As various authorities
try to hunt them down, a violent storm is brewing off-shore — and the peaceful
island community is turned upside down in more ways than anyone can handle. Hope this literary movie can catch the eyes of Oscar judges.
