PC Market Gradually Decline with the Upcoming of Tablet Era

Today’s New York Times announced that the huge sale of tablets has formed tremendous pressure on PC Market. With the growth of young generation, this trend will become more and more apparent. As for me, I absolutely agree that tablet sales will gradually exceed the PC in future, especially Apple’s iPad, although some analysts in this field are not in agreement on this view. More real data will be provided to improve this view.

Recent years, Apple gradually upgrades more functions in iPad devices with Retina Display screen applied, faster processor and high-speed network connections. More users choose to use iPad to surf the Internet, download movies from YouTube for watching, deal with the daily work. One of the most important businesses in Apple: iPad has contributed $9.15 billion income since the last quarter of 2011. There are 15 million units of iPad 2 have been sold.

Amazon launched its own tablet “Kindle Fire” (official price: $199) as a challenge to Apple’s iPad 2. Although Amazon has not disclosed their official sales, some analysts estimate that 400 million units of Kindle Fire have been sold in the last quarter of 2011, which created so surprising sales. More hardware vendors also show their tablets based on Windows 8 at the end of last year, which is expected to promote the development of the Tablet market.

The sales ratio between tablet and PC is about 6 to 1 in 2011. Nook tablets of Kindle Fire and Barnes & Noble have enhanced the Tablet sales during Christmas vocation. Even the income of Apple’s iPad is nearly 40% higher than Mac during this period.

In fact, not too many people will give up using a PC computer, the PC market will never disappear, but they will only be used as additional devices for tablets.Boundary between the tablets and PC market is gradually blurred; we will see more innovative designs to challenge our vision.
